EXLOO, Netherlands, June 30, 2019–Jil-Marielle Becks and Damon’s Satelite won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday to complete a double victory in the pair’s Big Tour debut while fellow German Helen Langehanenberg on Hollywood took the Special.
Jil and the 11-year-old Wesfalen gelding scored 77.965% for the win. Jil, 21 years old, and Damon’s Satelite won European Under-25 Championship team and individual gold as well as Freestyle silver at this same show ground in 2018 and team gold, individual silver and Freestyle bronze in the European Young Rider Championships in 2016.
The Netherlands’ Lucie Louws and Evito were awarded 74.805% for second place with Juan-Manuel Vidal-Testal of Spain and Dulce Sueno third on 69.060%.
Helen Langehanenberg and the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding whose only previous Big Tour competition was in France last month scored 70.468% to win the Special.
Tristan Tucker, the Holland-based Australian, on Zephir O was second on 69.128% in the first Special for the 16-year-old KWPN gelding. Great Britain’s Emma Hindle on Diesel was third on 66.659%.
