EXLOO, Netherlands, June 29, 2019–Jil-Marielle Becks and Damon’s Satelite won the CDI3* Grand Prix Saturday in the Big Tour debut for the German youth multi gold medal pair.

Jil and the 11-year-old Wesfalen gelding scored 72.782% for the win. Jil, 21 years old, and Damon’s Satelite won European Under-25 Championship team and individual gold as well as Freestyle silver at this same show ground in 2018 and team gold, individual silver and Freestyle bronze in the European Young Rider Championships in 2016.

Helen Langehanenberg and Hollywood placed second on 70.804% in the second Grand Prix for the 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding.

Helen competed Damon’s Satelite in the World Young Horse Championships as a five-year-old in 2013, after she rode Damon Hill, the sire, to German team silver at the 2012 London Olympics, took the World Cup title in 2013 and won team gold and individual and Freestyle silvers at the 2014 World Equestrian Games. The Normandy WEG was the last competition for Helen and Damon Hill, owned by Jil’s father.

Great Britain’s Emma Hindle on Diesel was third on 70.435%.
