ACHLEITEN, Austria, June 15, 2019–Switzerland’s World Equestrian Games combination of Birgit Wientzek Pläge and Robinvale won the CDI4* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday on a personal best score.

Birgit and the 12-year-old British-bred Hanoverian scored 79.125% for the win. The previous best was 74.695% at Geneva six months ago.

The pair, on Switzerland’s team at the 2018 World Games in Tryon, will compete at the Swiss Championships in two weeks and hope to earn a start in the CDI4* at Aachen, Germany late next month.

Lisa Müller of Germany on Birkhof’s Dave FBW was second on 75.500% in only the second CDI musical performance for the duo.

Astralia’s Simone Pearce making her Big Tour debut on Scolari were third on 73.500%. The pair won the Grand Prix Friday.
