LEXINGTON, Kentucky, April 30, 2019–The United States Dutta Corp. team for the Nations Cup in Compiègne, France next month was announced Tuesday by the U.S. Equestrian Federation.

The team for the CDIO5* May 16-19, the second in the 2019 Nations  Cup series of eight events:

Katherine Bateson-Chandler, 44 years old, of Wellington, Florida and Alcazar, 14-year-old KWPN gelding, owned by Jane Forbes Clark;
Heather Blitz, 49, of Wellington, and Semper Fidelis, 13-year-old Oldenburg mare, owned by Rowan O’Riley;
Shelly Francis, 60, of Loxahatchee, Florida and Danilo, a 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding, owned by Patricia A. Stempel, and
Nick Wagman, 45, of San Diego, California and Don John, 11-year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding owned by Beverly Gepfer.

Katherine Bateson-Chandler, Heather Blitz and Shelly Francis are experienced U.S. team riders.

Shelly and Danilo will go into Compiègne at No. 21 in the world, the rider’s highest world ranking.

Nick Wagman, a popular and successful trainer and competitor in California, will be on his first American team.

The first Nations Cup of the year, in Wellington in March was won by the United States.
