DEL MAR, California, April 28, 2019–Sabine Schut-Kery completed the return of Sanceo after a year-long injury timeout to win the CDI-W Grand Prix Special Sunday.

Sabine of Thousand Oaks, California and the 13-year-old Hanoverian stallion scored 72.085% for the victory in the first competition since winning the Special at this same venue in 2018. The pair placed second in the Grand Prix Friday.

The duo were on the 2015 Pan American Games gold medal team at small tour and began their Big Tour career in January last year, competing on both coasts before an injury interrupted Sanceo’s career.

Nick Wagman of Rancho Santa Fe on Don John was awarded a personal best score of 70.681% for second place.
