EBREICHSDORF, Austria, April 14, 2019–Dorothee Schneider rode her Olympic team gold medal horse Showtime FRH to victory in the Magna Racino CDI4* Grand Prix Special Sunday completing a successful return to competition after a nine-month injury timeout.

Dorothee and the 13-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 81.021% for the win, a day after capturing the Grand Prix that was the first start since July. Then, Showtime was withdrawn with a swollen leg from the CDIO5* Special at Aachen, Germany to be dropped from consideration for the German team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon two months later.

Benjamin Werndl and Famoso OLD  was awarded 75.170% to place second, as they did in the Grand Prix, in only the second Big Tour event for the 10-year-old Oldenburg gelding. Benjamin competed Daily Mirror in his first World Cup Final last week.

Finland’s Henri Ruoste on Rossetti was third on 73.128%.

The pair of victories for Dorothee and Showtime this weekend brough to 12 the number of Big Tour wins in the past four years of Grand Prix competition that included team gold at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
