NIEUW en SINT JOOSLAND, Netherlands, April 13, 2019–Malin Wahlkamp-Nilsson of Sweden and Eddieni won the Zeeland Outdoor CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday for a double victory in the debut Big Tour event for the 10-year-old gelding.
Malin, 30 years old and based in Germany as a rider with Swedish Olympian Patrik Kittel, and the Dutch-bred Eddieni scored 73.574% for the win. The pair won the Grand Prix Thursday on 72.043%.
Belgium’s Laurence Roos on Fil Rouge, a 14-year-old Belgian Warmblood, placed second on 71.553%. The 25-year-old rider has competed Fil Rouge since Young Riders in 2013, including European Championships in 2014, the European Under-25 Championships in 2016 and at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon last fall.
Spain’s Jordi Domingo Coll on Sonata DSH was third on 69.319%.
