EBREICHSDORF, Austria, April 12, 2019–Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Zaire-E won the CDI4* Grand Prix for Freestyle Friday, the first victory for the German pair since 2017.
Jessica and the 15-year-old KWPN mare scored 75.826% for the win. Jessica and Zaire competed in the young horse division six years ago, moving to Small and Medium Tour before beginning Grand Prix in late 2014.
Dorothee Schneider, also of Germany, and Pathetique placed second on a personal best 74.130% in only the third Grand Prix for the 11-year-old German Sport Horse mare that began Big Tour less than six months ago.
Austria’s Victoria Max-Theurer made her debut on Fackeltanz to place third on 72.217%. The 14-year-old Fackelntanz was competed at Grand Prix by Stefan Lehfellner of Austria last year and by Dorothee Schneider at Small Tour for two years.
