The three American horses to compete at the World Cup Final in Gothenburg in a week’s time arrived safely in Europe Friday after a 13-hour flight from home and will be rested before the equally long road trip to Gothenburg, Sweden.
In what was described by Adrienne Lyle as the “easiest group ever” on the Dutta Corp. flight from Miami to Amsterdam the horses were said to have “traveled great.”
Verdades ridden by Laura Graves and the No 2 combination in the world, Kaaey Perry-Glass and Dublet ranked fifth in the world and Adrienne on Salvino at No 15 are heading to Gothenburg to challenge the globe’s top ranked partnership of Isabell Werth on Weihegold OLD seeking to defend the title they have won the past two years.
Laura and Verdades were reserve champion in 2017 and 2018.
“Everyone traveled great,” Adrienne reported on the flight to Amsterdam. “Easiest group ever.”
The horses, she said, were drinking well, an important issue.
The riders were expecting inspectors to give approval for the horses to be released from quarantine to make the trip to Gothenburg.
The three Americans and have traveled further than any of the other combinations in the annual championships as all the other pairs are based in Europe, except for Yvonne Losos de Muñiz of the Dominican Republic who competed in North America.
