WERRIBEE, Australia, Mar. 22, 2019–Australia’s World Equestrian Games rider Maree Tomkinson debuted DMJ Donna Elena at Big Tour to win the Dressage & Jumping with the Stars World Cup Grand Prix Friday.
Maree and her nine-year-old Hanoverian mare (Don Schufro x Bolero) scored 69.652 per cent for the win. The scores ranged from a high of 72.391 per cent from Jane Ventura of Australia to a low of 64.783 per cent from Raphael Saleh of France.
Maree who rode for Australia at the 2014 World Games competed Donna Elena as a six-year-old at the 2016 World Young Horse Championships in Ermelo, Netherlands and competed at Small Tour in Sydney last year.
Katharine Farrell on Luxor placed second on 67.196 per cent with Fiona Selby on Tacita third on 67.109 per cent.
