WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 12, 2019–Mexico, competing in the Florida Nations for the first time, leads off the CDIO3* competion of five teams beginning Wednesday and kicks off a year with more events than the previous seven years of the trans-Atlantic series.

Mexico, Germany, Colombia the United States and Canada have entered teams in the Nations Cup that has a format of mixed Small and Big Tour combinations in line with the Pan American Games held once every four years and to be staged in Lima, Peru in July.

Two teams at the Pan Ams can qualify for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, but the Dutta Corp. U.S. team is already in with its silver medal performance at last fall’s Tryon World Equestrian Games.

This year, eight Nations Cups are scheduled, one in Florida and seven in Western Europe.
