DOHA, Qatar, Mar. 9, 2018–Borja Carrascosa and Ein Traum posted a personal best score to narrowly beat out fellow Spanish rider Juan Matute Guimon on Don Diego to win the Al Shaqab CDI5* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday.
Borja and the 10-year-old Westfalen gelding scored 75.375 to notch the first victory for the Spanish pair in a year of Big Tour competition.
Juan Matute Guimon and Don Diego were awarded 75.250 per cent for second place with Morgan Barbançon Mestre of France on Sir Donnerhall II OLD third on 74.875 per cent.
Finland’s Henri Ruoste on Rossetti won the Grand Prix with a score of 71.915 per cent.
