MECHELEN, Belgium, Dec. 28, 2018–The Netherlands’ World Equestrian Games team combination of Hans Peter Minderhoud and Glock’s Dream Boy posted a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Friday just 11 days after capturing the experimental “short” Grand Prix at London.
Hans Peter and the 10-year-old KWPN stallion scored 75.870 per cent for the victory in the return of the World Cup qualifier to this traditional year-end event for the first time in seven years.
Helen Langehanenberg and Damsey FRH, 16-year-old Hanoverian stallion, placed second on 75.717 per cent.
Sweden’s Therese Nilshagen on Dante Weltino OLD were third on 74.783 per cent.
This is the seventh of 10 qualifiers for the World Cup Final in Gothenburg, Sweden April 3-7.
The Grand Prix Freeestyle to determine points is scheduled for Saturday.
