NÜRNBERG, Germany, Nov. 3, 2018–Lionella von Rosencarree, a nine-year-old Hanoverian mare, was ridden by Dorothee Schneider on Saturday to win the series-ending Nürnberger Burg-Pokal qualifier and earn an invitation to the final of the German small tour championship in December.

The German team rider and Lionella von Rosencarree (Londontime x Corradino) scored 73.024 per cent for the win and give Dorothee two mounts in the prestigious final in Frankfurt Dec. 13-16. She won on First Romance, an eight-year-old German Sport Horse gelding, in May in the second of 12 qualifying Prix St. Georges Special competitions for horses aged seven to nine years.

Annabell Frenzen was second on Kiefferhof’s Imperius on 72.390 per cent and third on Silber Stern on 71.244 per cent at this Faszination Pferd qualifier. She had already earned a final start on Silber Stern.

The annual Burg-Pokal was launched in 1992.
