DEVON, Pennsylvania, Sept. 29, 2018–Jessica Jo Tate and Faberge won the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle in the Saturday night party atmosphere, the first Big Tour musical performance victory for the American rider. Canada’s Diane Creech and Hallmark won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special
“JJ,” as Jessica Jo of Landrum, South Carolina is known, and the 14-year-old Westfalen gelding were awarded 73.650 per cent, a personal best score by far and came a day after winning the Grand Prix.
Jessica Jo and Faberge, that she has been competing from the start of the rider’s international career at this same show six years ago, was placed first by four of the five judges.
Nicole Harrington of Batavia, Ohio and Wizard of Oz, a 12-year-old Hanoverian gelding in only their second muscial performance, placed second on 74.125 per cent, also a personal best and the highest placing in 11 starts at Big Tour, all this year.
Kimberly Herslow of Stockton, New Jersey on Soraya II was third on 69.500 per cent.
Canada’s Diane Creech and Hallmark won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special on a score of 65.963 per cent, the first Big Tour event for the pair. Diane and the 14-year-old Hanoverian gelding last competed in a CDI at small tour more than three years ago.
