Germany won the World Equestrian Games team gold Thursday, with the United States taking silver and Great Britain bronze at the Tryon International Equestrian Center in the United States.

The championships gold, which Germany has won for seven of the eight WEGs held once every for years, came down to the last combinations, Laura Graves and Verdades for the USA, Isabell Werth on Bella Rose for Germany and Charlotte Dujardin on Mount St. John Freestyle.

Isabell Werth on Bella Rose led Germany to gold with a score of 84.814 per cent, a remarkable comeback for her favorite horse of all time that was out of competition for almost four years after the 2014 World Games.
