SAUGERTIES, New York, Aug. 17, 2018–With the top Canadian and American riders and horses preparing for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon in less than four weeks and the U.S. Festival of Champions being staged near Chicago next week, the World Cup qualifier Friday attracted a sole entry while a couple of New Zealand competitors warming up for the championships were the only competitors in the CDI3* Grand Prix.

Laura Noyes Putnam of Gray, Maine, was the only competitor in the Grand Prix for the Freestyle, riding Galveston, a 15-year-old Danish Warmblood gelding, rode Galveston to a score of 62.565 per cent.

This World Cup event was the third so far this year in North America, with perhaps as many as 10 more to go to earn one of the two places reserved for this region at the Final in Gothenburg, Sweden next April.

In the CDI3* Grand Prix for the Special, Julie Brougham on Vom Feinsten scored 69.609 per cent and John Thompson on Antonello was awarded 64.543 per cent.
