CAPPELN, Germany, Aug. 12, 2018–Juliette Ramel and Buriel K.H. won the CDI4* Grand Prix Special with a personal best score Sunday to lead what may be most of the Tryon-bound Swedish team to fill three of the top four places.
Juliette and the 12-yearold KWPN gelding scored 76.000 per cent for the fourth victory of the year for the pair that were on Sweden’s 2016 Olympic team and have been named to the team for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina next month.
Patrik Kittel and Well Done de la Roche CMF placed second on 75.298 per cent. The 10-year-old Swedish Warmblood mare has been named along with Deja as one of two optional Tryon rides for Patrik, a veteram of three Olympics and two previous World Games.
Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Blue Hors Don Olymbrio placed third on 73.532 per cent.
Tinne Vilhelmson Silfvén and Don Auriello was fourth on 73.426 per cent. Tinne is a seven-time Olympian for Sweden and Tryon will be her fifth WEG. Don Auriello, a 16-year-old Hanoverian gelding, was on the Swedish team for the 2014 WEG as well as for the 2012 and 2016 Olympics.
