ROTTERDAM, Netherlands, June 23, 2018–Edward Gal rode Glock’s Voice to victory in the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Saturday, for a double victory in the first show in 10 months for the Dutch Olympic combination.
Edward and the 16-year-old KWPN stallion scored 78.675 per cent for the win, a day after capturing the Grand Prix in the first show since the European Championships last August. The pair competed in the 2016 Olympics and the 2014 World Equestrian Games.
Sweden’s Tinne Vilhelmson-Silfvén on Don Auriello was runner-up, as they were in the Grand Prix, on 76.980 per cent after an even longer absence from competition–almost two years.
Rising Dutch star Anne Meulendijks less than nine months out of the Under-25 division, rode her MDH Avanti to third place on 76.920 per cent.
