BALVE, Germany, June 9, 2018–Hubertus Schmidt rode Bonamour to victory in the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal Prix St. Georges Special Saturday to earn a start at the final of horses aged seven to nine years at the final at Frankfurt in December.
Hubertus, a German Olympic team rider, and the eight-year-old Westfalen stallion (Bonifatius x Rousseau) scored 73.723 per cent for the win in the fifth of 12 qualifying competitions for the German small tour title.
Ann-Christin Wienkamp also of Germany on Daley Thompson was second on 73.415 per cent with Austria’s Lisa Wernitznig on Descolari third on 72.659 per cent.
The next qualifier is scheduled for Bonhomme June 21-24.
