WIESBADEN, Germany, May 19, 2018–Fabienne Müller-Lütkemeier and D’Agostino FRH won the CDI4* Grand Prix Saturday, the first victory in more than three years for the German World Equestrian Games team gold medal pair.
Fabienne and D’Agostino, a Hanoverian gelding that at 18 years of age was the oldest horse in the Grand Prix, scored 73.087 per cent for the win. Fabienne and D’Agostino won team and individual gold at the 2010 European Young Rider Championships and team gold four years later at the World Games in Normandy.
Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on Unee BB, riding for Germany at the 2015 European Championships and four World Cup Finals, placed second on 72.674 per cent.
German eventing superstar Ingrid Klimke, the winner of two Olympic team gold medals and two team golds at World Equestrian Games, rode Franziskus to a personal best score of 72.587 per cent for third place. This was only the third Grand Prix for the 10-year-old Hanoverian stallion since starting Big Tour last November.
