
MANNHEIM, Germany, May 5, 2018–Dorothee Schneider and the 10-year-old Faustus, in only their second Big Tour event, beat the world No. 6 partnership of Isabell Werth on Don Johnson FRH in the CDI4* Grand Prix Special Saturday.
Dorothee and the Hanoverian gelding that began their Big Tour career six weeks ago, scored 74.872 per cent as the unanimous choice of the five judges for the victory. Dorothee, a German Olympic team rider, and Faustus on whom she is ranked 493rd in the world after two starts in March, were second to Isabell and Don Johnson in the Grand Prix.
Isabell and the 17-year-old Don Johnson, in their eighth year at Grand Prix, scored 71.404 per cent for second. Isabell is ranked No. 1 in the world on Weihegold OLD and No, 3 on Emilio.
Spain’s Borja Carrascosa on Ein Traum was third on 69.787 per cent.
