TATUI, Brazil, April 28, 2018–Olympian Giovana Pass on Zingaro of Lyw won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.with a third qualifying score for the World Equestrian Games.

The 20-year-old Giovana on the horse she competed as a teenager for the home team at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro scored 68.239 per cent as she campaigns to take the 14-year-old Spanish-bred stallion to the Tryon World Games in September.

Pedro Tavares de Almeida on Aoleo placed second on 67.978 per cent, the first of two scores of 66 per cent required to qualify for the world championships in North Carolina.

Mauro Pereira da Silva, Jr. on Banzai AMM placed third on 66.739 per cent.

Brazil combinations to have achieved at least two qualifying scores for Tryon so far are João Victor Mark Oliva on both Xama dos Pinhais and Xiripiti TVF, Leandro Aparecido da Silva/Dicaprio and Giovana Pass/Zingaro of Lyw.
