MINSK, Belarus, April 28, 2018–Hanna Karasiova of Belarus dominated the Central European kick-off World Cup Grand Prix Saturday, taking the top two places with the horses she has taken to the championship finals the past two years.

Hanna and Zodiak, a 10-year-old Latvian gelding she competed in Paris earlier this month, won the Grand Prix on a score of 68.913 per cent.

On Arlekino, a 12-year-old Latvian gelding she rode at the 2017 Wold Cup Final in Omaha and the European Championships in Gothenburg, Sweden, Hanna was awarded 67.430 per cent as runner-up.

Volha Ihumentsava, also of Belarus, was third on Ed Khardy with a score of 66.652 per cent.

This was the first of 17 World Cup events in Central Europe running until next March to qualify for two places allocated to the league for the Final in Gothenburg, Sweden in April 2019.
