HAGEN, Germany, April 28, 2018–Frederike Hahn and her eight-year-old Oldenburg mare Die Fürstin on Saturday captured the opening leg of the Nürnberger Burg-Pokal starting its 27th year as the German championship series for seven to nine-year-old Prix St. Georges horses.
Frederike and Die Fürstin (Don Romantic x Fürst Heinrich) scored 73.927 per cent at this Horses & Dreams show, the first of 12 qualifying competitions throughout Germany leading to the final in Frankfurt in December.
Kira Wulferding on Bohemian Rhapsodie, a nine-year-old Rhinelander mare, placed second on 72.878 per cent with Great Britain’s Susan Pape on Harmony’s Eclectisch, a nine-year-old KWPN stallion she owns with Harmony Sporthorses of Kiowa, Colorado.
