WELLINGTON, Florida, Mar. 30, 2018–San D’Or, the 12-year-old Grand Prix horse competed by Canadian Olympian Megan Lane has been sold to Switzerland for Marcela Krinke Susmelj to compete.

San D’Or (Sandro Hit x Cocktail) was owned by Deer Ridge Equestrian near Toronto that had bought the Dutch gelding as a three-year-old.

Megan Lane, coached by Christilot Boylen, competed the horse internationally from small tour in 2013 through the Under-25 division and moved up to senior Grand Prix two years ago. The pair competed successfully at the major show venues in Canada and the United States.

San D’Or was sold to Irene Meyer, a sponsor of Marcela including her top international mount Smeyers Molberg that she rode at the 2016 Olympics, the 2014 World Equestrian Games, three World Cup Finals in Omaha and Gothenburg, as well as the 2011, 2013 and 2015 European Championships.

Deer Ridge has been a long-time sponsor of Megan on her Caravella that she competed at the Rio Olympics and the 2014 World Games as well as the 2015 Pan American Games. Deer Ridge also owns Zodiac MW on which Megan won the CDI3* Grand Prix on Thursday in Wellington, the first Big Tour victory for the pair.

The sale was arranged by Daniel Ramseier and Silve Dietrich who saw San D’Or at the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington.
