HERNING, Denmark, Mar. 9, 2018–Inessa Merkula and her big moving Olympic and championship mount Mister X won the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, narrowly beating rising hometown rider Daniel Bachmann Andersen on Blue Hors Don Olymbrio.
Inessa and the 14-year-old Russian-bred Trakehner gelding scored 73.804 per cent for the victory with Daniel and the 10-year-old KWPN stallion runner-up on 73.457 per cent.
Agnete Kirk Thinggaard in only her second Big Tour show with Orthilia, the 2016 Olympic team silver medal mount of Great Britain’s Fiona Bigwood, placed third on 71.065 per cent.
