‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH, , Netherlands, Mar. 9, 2018–Isabell Werth and Emilio won the World Cup Grand Prix Friday in the last qualifier for the Final of the championship in Paris next month, with Edward Gal on Glock’s Zonik posting a personal best for runner-up.
Isabell, the defending World Cup champion rider, and the 12-year-old Westfalen mare scored 78.413 per cent for the win, two weeks after Denmark’s Cathrine Dufour on Cassidy beat the pair.
Edward and Zonik, in only their fifth Big Tour event since starting international Grand Prix last June, were second on 77.696 per cent. The previous best for the Dutch pair was 76.680 per cent at London Olympia last Christmas.
Germany’s Jessica von Bredow-Werndl and Unee BB placed third 73.630 per cent.
The Freestyle to determine final rankings in western Europe and wrap up qualifying for the World Cup Final will be staged Saturday.
