NICE, France, Mar. 4, 2018–Lisa-Maria Klössinger and FBW Daktari posted their first senior Big Tour victory Sunday in winning the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle, a musical performance the German pair were unable to perform at the botched 2017 Under-25 European Championships.
Lisa-Maria and the 13-year-old German Sport Horse gelding scored 74.305 per cent for the win in their fourth Big Tour start..
Austria’s Ulrike Prunthaller on Bartlgut’s Duccio were second on 73.920 per cent. Ulrike had won the Grand Prix and the Special on Bartlgut’s Quebec and was second on Duccio in the Grand Prix.
Germany’s Victoria Michalke and Dance On OLD placed third on 71.315 per cent.
Lisa Maria and Daktari have been partnered in the international arena for six years, taking team gold and individual and freestyle silver medals at the 2014 Young Rider European Championships.
At the 2017 Under-25 Europeans in Lamprechtshausen, Austria, the second year of the division championships, Lisa-Maria and Daktari led Germany to team gold and took the individual silver. However, problems with the equipment led to the freestyle being canceled after four rides.
