NICE, France, Mar. 3, 2018–Austria’s Ulrike Prunthaller rode Bartlgut’s Quebec to a personal best score to win the CDI3* Grand Prix Special Saturday to post the pair’s first Big Tour double victory.
Ulrike and the 11-year-old German Sport Horse stallion scored 74.596 per cent in the duo’s sixth Special since beginning Grand Prix 11 months ago in which the previous best was 70.000 per cent.
The pair won the Grand Prix Friday and Ulrike also rode Bartlgut’s Duccio, a 13-year-old Austrian Warmblood stallion, to second second place. Both rides were for personal best Grand Prix results.
Russia’s Evgenija Davydova on Awakening placed second in the Special on 71.617 per cent, also a personal best.
France’s Alexandre Ayache on Zo What was third on 70.404 per cent.
