BAWLEY POINT, Australia, Feb. 24, 2018–Alexis Hellyer and Bluefields Floreno dominated the Willinga Park CDI3* Grand Prix capturing the Freestyle Sunday with the highest score in Australia in three years after taking the Grand Prix and the Special.

Alexis and the 13-year-old stallion scored 75.53 per cent in only their third Grand Prix Freestyle since starting Big Tour four months ago. The result was the highest for a musical performance since Mary Hanna and Umbro scored 75.950 per cent at the Orange CDI3* in February, 2015.

The 29-year-old rider and Floreno scored 69.230 per cent in the Grand Prix Special, and 69.760 per cent in the Grand Prix that was also the first Big Tour victory for the duo. The Grand Prix result was enough for Alexis and Floreno to become the 10th pair to make the short list for selection for Australia for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina in September.

Gitte Donvig on Sancette that her mother, Mary Hanna, rode for Australia at the 2012 Olympics and the 2014 World Equestrian Games placed second in the freestyle on 72.35 per cent, a personal best for the partnership.

Shannan Goodwin on Aristede was third on 71.70 per cent.
