LE MANS, France, Feb. 15, 2018–Anne Meulendijks and MDH Avanti won the CDI3* Grand Prix Thursday in their first international Big Tour event after the Netherlands pair claimed European Under-25 Championship team and individual silver medals last summer.
Anne and the 13-year-old KWPN gelding, ranked the No. 1 Under-25 combination in the world, scored 70.891 per cent for the victory. The 24-year-old rider has competed Avanti on the international stage since young riders in 2013.
Switzerland’s Antonella Joannou on Dandy de la Roche placed second on 70.043 per cent.
Great Britain’s Henriette Andersen on Flavio was third on 69.913 per cent with fellow Briton Michael Eilberg on Marakov fourth on 69.761 per cent.
