WEST PALM BEACH, Florida, Dec. 21, 2017–Palm Beach County Circuit Court will hold a hearing in mid-March on a move to dismiss a civil suit against Caroline Roffman over the alleged sale of a horse for $900,000 while paying owner Alice Tarjan $300,000.

The brief hearing was set for Mar. 14 to decide whether the suit could proceed against Caroline personally.

Caroline Roffman of Wellington, Florida and the 2012 FEI Rising Star, is seeking to have the suit dismissed on grounds she was not a party to the sale but that it was conducted through Lionshare Dressage, LLC.

Lionshare is a Florida corporation of which Caroline is named as both manager and agent.

Alice of Frenchtown, New Jersey is expected to respond by year’s end to an order by the court to produce evidence supporting her claim over the sale of the horse, Faberge in 2015 to Bethany Peslar and/or Everglades Dressage LLC. Endel L. Ots, a former partner of Caroline Roffman’s and former manager of Lionshare, was Peslar’s trainer.
