Dorothee Schneider & Sammy Davis Jr Post Personal Best Score to Win Salzburg World Cup Grand Prix

SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 9, 2017–German European Championship team gold medal pair Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jr. posted a personal best score to win the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday.

Dorothee and the 11-year-old German Sport Horse gelding scored 78.120 per cent for the win, the second victory in 17 starts since beginning Big Tour in March this year. The previous best for the two-time Olympic rider and the horse on which she won the 2016 Louisdor Prize for Germany’s developing Grand Prix horses was 76.100 per cent set in May.

Jessica von Bredow-Werndl on Unee BB, her German team and World Cup Final mount, placed second on 76.520 per cent.

Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann-Andersen on Bue Hors Zack also posted a personal best, 74.960 per cent, for third place. The previous best for the duo that began Grand Prix in March this year was 73.980 per cent in the World Cup in Denmark less than two months ago.
