BOGOTA, Colombia, Nov. 18, 2017–Sergio Muñoz Laverde won the Bolivarian Games opening dressage competition Saturday with Colombian and Ecuadorian riders filling the top five places.

Sergio scored 73.15 per cent for the win in the Young Rider individual test in the Games equestrian competition staged at a cavalry school.

Ecuador’s Julio Mendoza was second on 70.83 per cent with Colombia’s Santiago Cardona Espinosa third on 68.84 per cent.

Teams from Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and individuals from Chile and Venezuela and competing in dressage at the Games held once every four years.
