DEVON, Pennsylvania, Sept. 29, 2018–Ashley Holzer and Havanna won the Dressage at Devon CDI3* Grand Prix Friday for the American pair’s highest score so far.
Ashley of New York and the 10-year-old Hanoverian mare were awarded 70.580 per cent, a personal best and the second victory in six Grand Prix since beginning Big Tour in April. Havanna was acquired by Diane Fellows for the four-time Olympian for Canada who now rides for the United States as a prospect for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina a year from now.
Canada’s Belinda Trussell and Tattoo scored 66.781 per cent for second place.
Ellesse Tzinberg of the Philippines and Triviant also posted a personal best 66.400 per cent for third. Ellesse began competing Triviant, a 17-year-old KWPN gelding, at the Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida in January after acquiring the horse that had been shown at Grand Prix by Charlotte Haid Bondegaard of Sweden beginning in 2012 and Germany’s Matthias Alexander Rath prior to that from 2008.
