DARMSTADT, Germany, Sept. 21, 2017–Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen and Blue Hors Zack logged their first Big Tour victory in capturing the CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday.

Daniel and the 13-year-old KWPN stallion scored 71.080 per cent for the win. The pair competed successfully at small tour in 2015 and 2016 before moving up to Grand Prix in March this year.

Germany’s Bernadette Brune on Spirit of the Age OLD placed second on 70.820 per cent.

Australia’s Simone Pearce, based in Denmark, rode Wladimir O.A. for a personal best score of 70.300 per cent for third place.

Simone, who began competing the 14-year-old KWPN gelding in March, logged the first of three scores above the minimum of 69 per cent required to enable combinations to compete in Australia’s selection events for the World Equestrian Games in Tryon, North Carolina a year from now.
