WAYNE, Illinois, Aug. 26, 2017–Quintess, a Hanoverian mare, and Darius, a Hanoverian gelding, tied for the United States five-year-old championship Saturday, while Anna Stvall on Frankie won the Developing Prix St. Georges title.
Alyssa Doverspike based at Adventure Farm in Murrieta, California, rode Darius (Don Darius x Boss) to a score of 77.400 per cent. Judy Kelly of Clarkston, Michigan rode the mare Quintess (Quarterhall x Wolkenstein II) to a matching score.
Alyssa and Darius had won the preliminary test.
Craig Stanley, an Australian based in Madera, California and Habanero CWS, winner of the four-year-old championship in 2016, were third on 75.800.

Anna Stovall riding Catherine Haddad-Staller’s Frankie won the Developing Prix St. Georges on a score of 71.179 per cent. Anna is an assistant trainer to Catherine, who was based in Germany for 15 years but now has stables in Califon, New Jersey and Loxahatchee, Florida.
Endel Ots of Wellington, Florida on Lucky Strike placed second on 70.637 per cent and Eva King of Davis, California on Drake was third on 70.000 per cent.
