CAPPELN, Germany, July 14, 2017–Victoria Max-Theurer posted the best performance on Blind Date since returning from a year out of the show arena to win the CDI4* Grand Prix Friday to qualify for the Special. Germany’s Helen Langehanenberg on the nine-year-old Suppenkasper took the Grand Prix for the Freestyle, the third victory in three starts this year.

Victoria and the 15-year-old Hanoverian mare that competed for Austria at the 2015 European Championships scored 74.060 for the win at this competition at the family’s German stables. This was the fourth show and first victory for the duo since May after returning from a year’s absence from competition.

Austria’s Belinda Weinbauer and Söhnlein Brilliant Mj placed second on 71.600 per cent with Italy’s Pia Laus-Schneider on Shadow third on 70.800 per cent.

Germany’s Olympic rider Helen Langehanenberg on Suppenkasper won the Grand Prix for the Freestyle with a score of 70.580 per cent in only their third CDI in a year at Big Tour.

Kathleen Raine of Murietta, California on the 17-year-old mare Breanna scored 69,060 per cent to place second, matching the best European finish for the pair that was at this same show in 2014. The duo have logged seven victories at home since starting Big Tour in March, 2011.

Austria’s Renate Voglsang on Fratello was third on 68.660 per cent.
