SYDNEY, June 23, 2017–Australia will host an International Equestrian Federation (FEI) World Dressage Challenge as part of the 2017 Australian Dressage Championships in October.
Equestrian Australia dressage committee announced the event will be held at Boneo Park with five performance levels and two age groups (12-16 and 16 years and above) of Intermediate, Prix St Georges, Advanced, Medium and Elementary competitions for both individual and teams.
A maximum of 40 starters across all five classes will participate.
The FEI Solidarity Department runs the challenge competitions as a development program to give less experienced riders “who, under normal circumstances, cannot take part in international competitions and live in the more remote countries, the opportunity to compete internationally without having to leave their own country.”
