BRNO, Czech Republic, June 18, 2017–Sweden’s three-time Olympian Patrik Kittel rode Well Done de la Roche CMF to victory in the World Cup Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday while Hungary’s Róbert Ács moved to a tie at the top of the Central European League rankings.

Patrik and the Swiss Warmblood scored 78.500 per cent for the win in only the fourth start for the partnership and a day after capturing the Grand Prix.

Patrik will take back to the Western European League in which he competes the 20 points he earned in Sunday’s musical performance in seeking to qualify for the Final in Paris next April 10-15.

The pair’s only previous CDI start was at Compiègne, France last month, posting a score of 74.725 per cent in the freestyle debut.

Hungary’s Nikolett Szalai on Willy the Hit placed second on 70.400 per cent with Estonia’s Grete Püvi on Axel in third on 70.200 per cent in the fifth of 11 World Cup events in Central Europe.

Hungary’s Róbert Ács on Rasputin placed fourth on 69.550 per cent to earn enough points to move to the top of the Central European League rankings, tied with Russia’s Inessa Merkulova.

The Western European League doesn’t start until October with nine events leading to the final in Paris.

Patrik joins Switzerland’s Marcela Krinke Susmelj and Morgan Barbançon Mestre of Spain each with 20 points and another 11 Western Europeans riders who have earned points in Central Europe so far this year.

The next Central European event is scheduled for Tallinn, Estonia at the end of August.
