BRNO, Czech Republic, June 17, 2017–Sweden’s three-time Olympian Patrik Kittel rode Well Done de la Roche CMF to victory in the World Cup Grand Prix Saturday in the nine-year-old mare’s third Big Tour start. Malin Nilsson on Bon-Ami, assistant trainer to Patrik, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special for their fourth victory in four Big Tour starts.
Patrik and the Swiss Warmblood scored 73.440 per cent for the win in the fifth of 11 World Cup events in the Central European League.
The pair’s only previous CDI start was at Compiègne, France last month. Patrik will take back to the Western European League in which he competes the points he earns in the Grand Prix Freestyle on Sunday in looking to qualify for the Final in Paris next April.
Hungary’s Nikolett Szalai on Willy the Hit placed second on 66.580 per cent with Estonia’s Grete Püvi on Axel in third on 66.320 per cent.
Malin Nilsson and Bon-Ami, 11-year-old KWPN gelding, won the CDI3* Grand Prix Special a day after taking the Grand Prix and now have racked up four victories in four starts.
The 28-year-old Malin is an assistant trainer with Patrik Kittel based in Germany, .
