OTTAWA, Ontario, May 21, 2017–Jacqueline Brooks and D Niro, won the Ottawa Dressage Festival CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday, the first victory in two years for the Olympic and World Cup horse now 18 years old.
Jacqueline and the Swedish Warmblood gelding that competed for Canada at the 2012 Olympics in London and the 2013 World Cup Final scored 72.400 per cent for the victory. The pair began Big Tour in 2011, competing primarily in Canada and the United States, including the Adequan Global Dressage Festival in Wellington, Florida every winter.
Alexandra Dvorak , competing in Big Tour for the first time after a successful Global winter circuit in the Under-25 division following a career in junior and young riders beginning in 2008, placed second on 67.875 per cent.
Elizabeth Steacie on Callahan was third on 67.650 per cent.
