The United States won Compiègne after capturing the Welington, Florida event in 2016 on the way to capturing the series title.

The Wellington Nations Cup in which the U.S. placed second this year does not count for the series as only three teams competed and a minimum of four are required. Australia at first refused permission for a team to compete then relented but too late.
