HERNING, Denmark, Mar. 12, 2017–Severo Jurado Lopez and Deep Impact won the CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday in the first international competition for the pair.

Severo, who rode for Spain at the 2016 Olympics, and the 14-year-od Hanoverian gelding scored 79.050 per cent for the win that came 18 months after the last Big Tour appearance of Deep Impact when ridden by Robert Acs of Hungary.

Two-time Olympic rider Dorothee Schneider and Sammy Davis Jr. placed second on 78.650 per cent in the pair’s first show since winning the Louisdor Prize, Germany’s developing Grand Prix championship last December.

Denmark’s Daniel Bachmann Andersen rode Blue Hors Zack to third place on 75.975 per cent in the stallion’s first CDI Grand Prix.
