HASTINGS, New Zealand, Mar. 12, 2017–Abbie Deken and K H Ambrose won the Horse of the Year CDI3* Grand Prix Freestyle Sunday, the pair’s first victory since starting Big Tour a year ago.
Abbie and the 15-year-old Hanoverian gelding scored 72.900 per cent for the win over John Thompson on JHT Antonello on 71.825 per cent. John and Antonello, Horse of the Year winner in 2016, won the Grand Prix and the Special this year.
Penny Castle on Magnus Spero was third on 70.950 per cent.
