HASTINGS, New Zealand, Mar. 10, 2017–John Thompson and JHT Antonello kicked off a bid for a second straight Horse of the Year title by winning the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday.
John and the 15-year-old New Zealand-bred Hanoverian gelding scored 69.52 per cent for the win with the Grand Prix Special and the Freestyle to come.
Abbie Deken on KH Ambrose placed second on 67.42 per cent with Penny Castle on Magnus Spero third on 65.90 per cent.
