LIER, Belgium, Mar. 3, 2017–Adelinde Cornelissen rode the stallion Aqiedo to their first victory with a personal best score in the CDI3* Grand Prix Friday, days before the official retirement of her Olympic mount Jerich Parzival.
Adelinde and the 12-year-old KWPN stallion (Undigo x Metall) scored 73.060 per cent in the third Big Tour start for the pair over the past 10 months.
Belgium’s Jorinde Verwimp on Tiamo was second on 73.020 per cent with Marieke van der Putten of the Netherlands on Ambria third on 70.960 per cent.
Adelinde will retire Parzival at the ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Netherlands World Cup event next week.
