SALZBURG, Austria, Dec. 8, 2016–Bernadette Brune and Spirit of the Age OLD won the CDI4* Grand Prix Thursday for the first victory since the summer of 2015 and a day after being named to Germany’s elite B squad.
Bernadette and the 12-year-old Oldenburg stallion scored 70.880 per cent for the win to qualify for the Special.
Fellow German Hendrik Lochthowe rode Meggle’s Boston, a 10-year-old KWPN stallion, to a personal best of 70.740 per cent for second with Austria’s Christian Schumach on Auheim’s Picardo third on 68.740 per cent.
