WARENDORF, Germany, Dec. 7, 2016–Germany’s Olympic gold medal team was among the eight riders with their 13 horses on Wednesday named to the A squad by the national federation for the European Championship year of 2017.
The squads, in alphabetical order) are:
A squad: Anabel Balkenhol with Dablino FRH and Heuberger TSF; Jessica von Bredow-Werndl with Unee BB and Zaire; Fabienne Lütkemeier with D’Agostino FRH and Fabregaz; Sönke Rothenberger with Cosmo; Hubertus Schmidt with Imperio; Dorothee Schneider with Showtime FRH; Kristina Bröring-Sprehe with Desperados FRH, and Isabell Werth with Don Johnson FRH, Emilio and Weihegold OLD.
B squad (advanced): Bernadette Brune with Spirit of the Age OLD; Jenny Lang with Loverboy; Jan Dirk Giesselmann with Real Dancer FRH. and Carola Koppelmann with Deveraux B.
B-squad (perspective): Beatrice Buchwald with Daily Pleasure; Kathleen Keller with Daintree and San Royal; Florine Kienbaum with Doctor Schiwago’ Victoria Michalke with Dance On OLD and Novia; Sanneke Rothenberger with Deveraux OLD and Wolke Sieben; Charlott-Maria Schürmann with Burlington FRH, and Franziska Stieglmaier with Lukas.
